A More Personal Way to Set the Mood

I provide energetic live music for events where the right performance can bring people together. Each booking is planned around your occasion, venue, audience, and preferred feel, from relaxed and welcoming to lively and celebratory. My goal is to make the music feel natural within the event while giving guests a memorable live experience.

I handle the performance with preparation and attention to detail, so you can stay focused on hosting. I bring a confident stage presence, adapt to the energy in the room, and create a set that supports the flow of your celebration without taking it over. About

I Keep It Moving

.Jesi James is a New York–bred artist whose sound has never lived in one box. Beginning as a singer, he earned a scholarship to study jazz at The New School before establishing himself in hip-hop as a member of the tri-state rap group Koolweirdos, whose journey included a record deal with Universal.

After years of sharpening his identity as a rapper, songwriter and performer, Jesi has returned to the vocal foundation where his story began. His recent music blends classic R&B and melodic songwriting with hip-hop, while reconnecting with his Haitian roots through kompa and gouyad-inspired records that have introduced a new energy to his catalog.

Today, Jesi James represents the full evolution — singer, rapper and songwriter — bringing New York grit, Caribbean culture and real musicianship into one sound.
