Dance Floor Festival Set

Live dance set

A high-energy live set designed to bring festival audiences together.

A More Personal Way to Energize Your Festival

I blend kompa, gouyad, and rap into a performance with a strong rhythmic foundation and an inviting live presence. The set is built to encourage movement while keeping the music expressive, accessible, and connected to the crowd.

Each performance can be shaped around the atmosphere of the festival, from a daytime community gathering to a late-night celebration. I bring focused preparation, clear communication, and the flexibility to respond to the audience, creating a memorable experience that feels natural to the event.

About

I Keep It Moving

.Jesi James is a New York–bred artist whose sound has never lived in one box. Beginning as a singer, he earned a scholarship to study jazz at The New School before establishing himself in hip-hop as a member of the tri-state rap group Koolweirdos, whose journey included a record deal with Universal.

After years of sharpening his identity as a rapper, songwriter and performer, Jesi has returned to the vocal foundation where his story began. His recent music blends classic R&B and melodic songwriting with hip-hop, while reconnecting with his Haitian roots through kompa and gouyad-inspired records that have introduced a new energy to his catalog.

Today, Jesi James represents the full evolution — singer, rapper and songwriter — bringing New York grit, Caribbean culture and real musicianship into one sound.
